Ready To Go

Hello again from the Yellow Frogs!!!  Wow, only two weeks left before summer vacation.  Time really flies, doesn't it?  We did so much this year and we can't believe our time with the Yellow Frogs  is almost finished.  Well, we still have a few things left to do.  This week, we spent a lot of time getting ready for our end of year show.  Of course, all of you saw the show on Sunday.  We hope that you enjoyed if as much as we did.  It was a lot of work, but it was well worth it.  Here are a few photos of the Yellow Frogs practicing for the show.
Come on!  When is it our turn to practice our song?

Avşin, Ege and Alperen are glad to finally be on the stage.

Kaan, Derin and Polat are ready!

All the Yellow Frogs are lined up.

CLAP, CLAP,CLAP

"When the music stops...FREEZE!"
Don't move a muscle Yellow Frogs!

Yes...uh huh...Okay...Yes...Yes...Okay, we got it.

Back in our classroom, we still had some work to do.  We are so good at doing our calendar that our teachers let us do it all by ourselves.  This day, Matthew got to ask his friends all of the questions in Turkish and in English.  Way to go Matthew!

"What day is it today!"

"I know...I know...I know...It's the day after yesterday."  :)

The Yellow Frogs know about the importance of books.  They always take time out every week to look at books.
What to choose, what to choose.  This looks good!

Quiet time with a good book and good friends...It doesn't get muıch better than that.

Free time helps us to relax and express ourselves.  It's an important part of our day.
Avşin, Mina, Derin and Ecem are getting really creative with some paint, paper and egg cartons.

Selin and Ecrin are joining in the art group as well.  They painted half of a piece of paper then folded it over.  When opened, the papers look really cool!  (Kaan isn't hiding, he's working on a puzzle.)

"Control to Alican...You are cleared for take-off on runway One-Niner."

Legos never get old.  They are always fun...always!

There is time for play and time for work.  Now it's time for some work.  All of the Yellow Frogs have to finish up all the work in their writing workbook.  We spent time this week making sure we completed the missing pages.
That is the coolest pencil case I have seen in a long time!

How many pages does this book have anyway?  260?!?!  I can't believe we finished!

Well, that's about it for this week's blog.  We've got just two weeks to go and the Yellow Frogs will say goodbye for the year. We are really excited about this week because we will go to the Istanbul Aquarium on Friday and that should be great!
Goodbye for now!!!

Suyun önemi...

Yılsonu gösterimiz için provalara başladık.

Suyla yerlere resim yaptık.

Bahçemizdeki hayvanları besledik. Yeni doğan yavru tavşanlar çok sevimliydi.
Fen laboratuvarına çıktık. Parmak izlerini inceledik.

 Kendi parmak izlerimizi çıkardık.

Aile katılımı kapsamında Alperen'in annesi Betül hanım sınıfımıza gelerek bize suyla ilgili güzel bir deney uygulattı. Betül hanım'a teşekkür ediyoruz.

Water, please!!!!

Hello there. I am Walter, the water drop. Last week I was with yellow frogs.
Previously, our theme was water which we need during our whole lifetime.
To begin with, we were given different flashcards...
Look here we are...
You will most probably ask yourself  "What are they doing with these cards?"
Our teacher asked what we saw on our cards. Just after we answered, she asked "does it need water to live?" Of course, we all gave the right answers and attached our cards under the right title.

Bravo, Ecem. Shorts do not need water to live :)

Well done! Derin knows surely that a lion needs water. Hm, it's thirsty.

Yep Ecrin! A ball? No way!!

A jet plane! It needs fuel to be a real jet, not water.

Thanks, Mina. A car doesn't need water to endure its life :) But, it needs water to be clean. Just like us :)

A boat floats on water, it doesn't drink water :) Great job, Mathhew!

What is that? Is it a sheriff? :) No, it's Ömer. Sheriff's on the card and he definitely needs water.

Following our activity, we cut and pasted the things that need water to live and things that don't need water to live under the correct heading.
Thanks for viewing our blog!
That's all for now. Catch you later:)
