This week our topic was wild animals. First we
asked to kids what did they know about wild animals and also we talked about
where did they live and what did they need. We saw that kids loved to talk
about animals. So we thought why not combine wild animals with math.
Because we want to help children learn math in a fun way.
First we asked kids to make plus and equal signs out of playdough.
Then we gave them some animals and asked them to count and added animals up .
We worked individually to count objetcs. This
math activity was a great way to practise addition of small numbers.
Three tigers. One,two, three. Let’s count them
together. Three plus one is Four. :)
2 plus 1 equals 3. So I need 3 blogs:)

After we practised it, we did a worksheet.

This week we also learned high and low concepts. We finished our day with a game. We learned these concepts by playing a game. When we heard “high” we had to get on our chairs. When we heard “low” we had to get down. We had a fun day.
