A is for ART, Y is for YELLOW (Frogs, that is).

Spring has arrived and with it comes warmer weather, fresh breezes, green leaves on the trees and blooming flowers.  The beginning of Spring is the perfect time to celebrate the ARTS.  That was our theme last week and the Yellow Frogs definitely got into the arts.  Singing, dancing, drawing, and painting were all part of another exciting week at school.

Our classroom trees are ready for Spring, too.  They need some nice green leaves.  We coloured, cut and stuck some new Spring leaves for the trees.

Ege, Matthew, Ecrin and Alperen are doing a nice job on those leaves.

Selin, Ömer and Avşin are ready to cut out their leaves.

Alican, Polat and Ecem are doing great work together.

Derin, Kaan and Mina look like they're having fun, don't they.

The new Spring leaves are all ready, now it's time to stick them on our trees.

That was a job very well done.  Our trees look great now, green and ready for Spring!

As we said, our theme was the ARTS.  One our favourite arts is music. We love to listen and move to music.  Our teacher turned on an English song, gave us some instruments and  let us have some fun with music!

We're listening to the music and keeping the beat.  The Yellow Frogs have got some good musicians!

That was a really fun activity.  The Yellow Frogs always have a great time listening to our English songs.  We have fun and learn at the same time.  What a great combination!

We watched a video about different kinds of art and listened to our teacher explain some things.  It's amazing how many different kinds of arts there are.  Painting, sculpture, opera, photgraphy, cinema, ballet, ceramics, orchestra, theatre...the list goes on and on.

It's all very, very interesting.  Art is an important part of what we do at school.  We learn, have fun and exercise our minds every day with music, pictures and dancing.  I think the Yellow Frogs have gained a love of art which they will keep for a long time.

The Yellow Frogs work hard each and every day, but it's important to take a break and have some fun with the wonderful things we have in our classroom.

Oh no!  The classroom has been invaded by some giant cats.  Don't worry, a superhero has arrived on the scene to save the day! (He might need to adjust that mask first.)

Well, that's the week that was.  The Yellow Frogs worked hard and played hard.  As always, we came together and  helped each other to learn, solve problems and have fun.  We found out lots of new things about the Arts, too.  We will see you next week with lots of new pictures and information.  Our new theme will be SPRING, a new season and a new chance to learn and grow.
